Alesis DM6 or Ion Audio Pro Session?
I was looking for a electronic drum and found these 2.
They both look nearly the same. Same brain with some extra features on the Alesis, pads, and cymbals. The only difference is that the DM6 has 3 cymbals and a kick pad.
The Ion is 250$ and the Alesis is 500$
The DM6's module looks like it has a USB out for connection with the computer for MIDI connectivity. (A big plus for me)
I plan to record the drums into the computer so the DM6 would just need a USB cable, the Ion doesn't have anything more than a headphones jack.

I would go with the Alesis, personally.
Alesis make awesome components. i use their midi-verb in many recordings, especially for drumsets. The sound is amazing. The DM6 is a good solid unit and inexpensive. I know that my drummer uses the Yamaha

Awesome kit and very good sound presets. We got the old Ludwig snare sound and it sounded so darn close to the real deal.
But, its your choice. Try them out. Both are good.
