how can you use electronic drums to open a program in windows 7?
So, I have these Rock Band electronic drums. My computer recognizes it as a device. I can use it to play drums on a program. I just need to know how to open a program when I hit a certain pad. I want to open a total of 4 programs, so I would prefer that all the pads will open a different program. I would be willing to download a program (and have it run all the time). However, I would not like to pay for it. Thank you. I will really click the "best answer" button!

Near as I can tell, those are an HID device, and show up as a Game controller.
With that, the software linked below may work for you. I haven’t tested it to know though.
