How to clean youre drum Cymbals.

1) Why make a video about “HOW TO CLEAN YOUR CYMBALS” when you can’t? They’re still very dirty … and I’m willing to bet that because of the muck and grime you still have on your cymbals … it sounds the same as it did before hand.

I see your point with that. Its all personal preference I guess. I prefer that cleaner, brighter sound but I play alot of jazz too.

it adds to the tone believe it or not, it’s part of “sweetening” the cymbal, by cleaning the cymbals so much you actually pull off some of the metal every time.

yeah.. i got Groove juice, its really cheap and works great, better than the shampoo way but shampoo still works

Officially what happens when you do this: This is NOT a bad thing to do to your cymbals so don’t worry about it hurting your cymbals, i also used fructise. This doesn’t damage your cymbals at all and neither does water. Doing this will only clean your cymbals a little, you will still be able to see drum stick marks and other dirty spots that are on there really good. This does however make it shine and removes finger prints and stuff like that. Overall it is beneficial. I just did it myself.

Hey man, thanks for this video, did it on all of my cymbals, it’s a bit messy but it actually worked

please make sure people, this is a MILD CLEANING and not a thorough, therefore will NOT take off all the little marks but will only clean the dirt off of the little curves in the cymbals, and makes it WAY shinier

Also, it IS true that clean cymbals sound BETTER than dirty ones. why? because the cymbal is back the way it was made to sound so sound will resonate as it’s supposed to
