Want acoustic drums, and parents are dead set against them?
My parents want to get me digital/electronic drums, some little pad thing, no pedal at all. They worry about the noise, going on what they've heard. My friend HAS drums, and he's had them for years. He never had any problems with neighbors. (You can't even hear his outside, and he's just as close to his neighbors as we are to ours!) My parents probably worry about me not knowing how to play them, but I play my friend's drums all the time, and he says I'm decent.
I'm dead set against electronic drums, my parents are dead set against acoustic drums. (This is for my Christmas, btw)
I try to be logical and use reason to convince them, but they just say "I'm not getting you a drum set. No way in heck am I getting you a drum set." They just repeat that when I try to be logical.

As long as you live in their home you have to do what they want or hit the door!
dude that guy who answer’s fist is a fcking fa.g, they sell this pads for acoustic drums that make them really quiet but there loud enough for you to hear them you can even hear the cymbals but anyone more than 10 feet will not mind because they are quiet and when your parents go out just peel them off and let every one hear your skills. but they sell some bad ass electronic drum sets with pedals and its cool cuz you can blast them with your head phones and and play some crazy drum fills have metronome built in and its easier to learn songs with electric drums way easier because you can match the volume levels to the song and get them down perfect.sounds like your a beginner check out some Tama electric drum sets or DW drum sets they’re some really good brands and they come with like 3 drum heads double pedal and cymbals and as you become more expeiened you can add more cymbals electric drums are better than no drums at all
good luck on your drumming man
