This was a gift for my 5 year old son and it was a real hit!

The quality is exceptional, and from what we've seen, the set is holding up very well under the pounding of our children and their friends.

As well, the customer service received by Vintage was outstanding. This 'family run' business' attention to detail is apparent from the initial order all the way through to the prompt delivery.

I highly recommend both the product and the company!

I purchased this drum set for my daughter for Christmas, and was dissapointed to find that I couldnt choose the color. I called Vintage Drum directly and a very nice gentleman was able to change my order on the spot. I received excellent customer service and my order arrived extremely quickly.

I also received an email thanking me for my order and providing me with additonal links and information should I need it. I really appreciated the personal touch and outstanding service that Vintage Drum provided. I recommend them highly.

Obviously I am not reviewing the drum set yet as I have not had a chance to assemble it. However, I have removed the contents from the box, and it appears to be of good quality and a good size for my 5 year old.

My wife and I were looking at drums for younger children. Much of ones seen in kids toy stores ar just that - cheap kids toys that don't look like they would last very long if at all. We found this drum kit and ordered it. It arrived in less than one week (Thanksgiving got in the way)and it arrived in fine condition. Make no mistake, this a quality instrument for children, not just a "toy". It looks like it will stand up to a childs use for a long time to come and Vintage Drum has repair parts available if needed. When is the last time you saw that? The drums actually sound like drums should. My wife and I can hardly wait for Christmas to see our Grandaughter's face when she gets them!

We got this set for our two year old and could not be happier. The quality of the drums are great for the price and I was actually surprised at how "professional" they were. Our son loves to bang away and this will be a suitable set for a few years, at least.

All drums include tuning keys so that the tightness and sound can be modified. There is a snare drum, a bass drum, a tom drum and a crash cymbal, along with a quality little stool.

As mentioned by others, the assembly instructions are TERRIBLE (we actually got instructions, but they were a photocopy and unreadable), but we figured it out in no time by looking at the picture online.

I have to say, if you are looking for a quality set that can be enjoyed for years to come and then passed along (not thrown away), this is it.

These are really the only way to go when purchasing a very reasonably priced kids' drum set. That being said, you should be aware that the connections between the drums are of poor design and construction. We had the hardest time mounting the drums together, because the drum mounting design simply does not work. I had to get out a screwdriver and pliers to bend the cheap stamped metal enough so things would fit, and they are continually coming undone because they are so shoddy.

We purchased this drum set for our 3 year old wannabe Rock Star. He LOVES it...and Mommy and Daddy LOVE the quality of it! He has hours of fun "rocking out" on it with his microphone pulled up next to him so he can sing and drum at the same time. This set is deff better quality then the 1st Act stuff we saw at Toys R Us. We are glad we held out and found this set on Amazon. I think he will enjoy this set for a LONG time!
